The most unprofessional funeral home and staff in Lee County. They are fraudulent, money hungry, disrespectful, rude, have no sympathy and will take advantage of you and your loved ones in your time of need. They are only willing to work with you when you are taking your business elsewhere. Best advice, find someone who is more sensitive to your needs and not worried about the money to take care of your loved one. These people are the absolute worst and I do not recommend them at all.

Horrible horrible place not only do that not have any ounce of sympathy for families in mourning. They picked up my fathers body without a signed release, charged me $600 for the pick up. I had my meeting with Michael who has no idea how to communicate properly. The immediately started talking about decisions and time lines and asked me to pick without even presenting me with package information, I had to ask him for it! Then they jumped from $1000.00 to $3,000.00 due by Friday (meeting was on Tuesday) and this was for the minimum package. cremation In a cardboard box and ashes placed in a cardboard box! Due at the time of service no other options. I called a couple of days later after some research to discuss fees and no one called me back. My family decided to work with lee county cremation services who would do the same thing for $625.00!!! Once they received the release for his body then and only then did someone call me right away. They told me that they would be willing to do it for $1,200.00!! So you where going to charge me twice the amount if I wouldn't have argued the fee? And not call me back until you realized you where loosing my business!!! All of this while mourning my father!!! You are a disgrace of a funeral home !!!! Taking advantage of people at their worse moment! You should be ashamed of yourself!!!!

Wow, I don't know how express our discontentment with the services offered by Gendron Funeral Home. I gave the rating of 3 starts because the gentlemen that conducted the services for our loved one were very professional & understating & honestly did a great job at the wake & at the burial. Our discontentment is with the woman who I believe could be the financial manager or something of that sort. First, my family & I believe she took advantage of the grieve my father was going through. He had never organized a funeral & was distraught after losing his mother which leads us to believe that he almost got taken advance of by her. The biggest hole in her unprofessionalism was that she gave my father a blank contract to sign without numbers of the total cost of the services & the contract was almost blank when we were given a copy, that's a big NO NO when you are talking about services that cost over $10,000! When we arrived to help our father out she did not greet any of us by the door & showed no sympathy or understanding of the situation. To her everything was business point blank! She offered a funeral "package" to my father that supposedly included wake & burial services, the cost was $8,500 at first when she gave him the contract to sign. The day after my father is told that this cost didn't cover the vault or the opening of the ground at the burial lot that was sold to us. This added over $2,000 to the cost she had already given my father! Her lack of simplicity in her explanations had all our heads spinning & confusion was everywhere. Our loved one's death came at a very difficult time for many family members & this woman failed to offer any finance options to our family. They wanted all the money up front! Another thing we really disliked that made our jaws drop was the fact that no one was allowed inside the funeral home & we were all left in the parking lot for over an hour (with small children included) until we waited to for rest of the people that were arriving from out of town to help cover the balance. The last thing that almost made us retract from giving them our business was that after the service day was set up we were told that a soldier & a fire fighter passed away & that her service would be moved to 2 days after! Not to be insensitive, but our family member is just as important as the soldier & the fire fighter! She was a human being & was very loved by many! My advice to this funeral home to find someone to replace this woman that truly knows how to manage business & your finance department! Also, please be more sensitive & have sympathy for those families who are far from wealthy & can not cover the costs to put their loved one to rest! We had a very difficult time coming up with over $10,000 & no finance options were offered! You may want to consider working in a more professional way with low income families!

This funeral home provided a pleasant experience. I give it 5 stars because the conductor/speaker was a fantastic guy. Mike Leahy was hilarious, respectful, very thoughtful, and made you feel very comfortable getting to know the deceased in order to have a meaningful service for your loved one on less than a week's notice. As far as the transactional aspect of it went, it went smoothly, and I was given all the information I needed plainly enough, and it was overall a pleasant experience. that's really the best word to describe it all. The actual memorial service for my father was very sentimental, and I'll have great memories from it for years to come. Thank you, sincerely.
